Hovertravel — hop aboard Europe's only scheduled passenger hovercraft service for a fun crossing to Southsea, or an experience flight for something extra special
Sally's Riding School — beach rides for all abilities, from beginners to experienced riders, accompanied by experienced guides. Rides take in Priory Beach, St Helens (May–September) and Forelands Beach, Bembridge (winter months), weather permitting

Wight Karting — the island's high-speed go-karting track, just a five-minute drive from the hotel, offering an adrenalin-filled experience
Seaview Wildlife Encounter — a hands-on wildlife experience just two minutes' drive from the hotel, perfect for animal-loving families
Waterside Pool — a community swimming pool on Ryde Esplanade, ideal for a family swim
Puckpool Park — free coastal parkland with a playground, crazy golf and the remains of a historic fort, just along the esplanade
Isle of Wight Steam Railway — hop on and off along five miles of scenic track between Smallbrook Junction and Wootton, with a woodland trail, play area, live performances and a discovery centre of Victorian carriages
Goodleaf Tree Climbing — an exciting climbing experience up in the trees at Appley Park, with ropes and a hammock at the top

Ryde Carnival — one of the UK's oldest carnivals, with a main procession, illuminated parade and children's carnival

Getting Around

Buses — Southern Vectis operates local services from stops near Derwent Drive and St John's Church, a short walk from Appley Road. Route 8 connects Ryde with Newport, Sandown and Bembridge, running from around 6.30am until 11.05pm daily, while Routes 59 and 71 offer further local links. During peak season, the Island Coaster also serves the wider Ryde area. Live times can be checked via the Southern Vectis app or website, and contactless payment is accepted on all buses
Trains — Ryde St John's Road station, on the Island Line, is around a 15-minute walk from the hotel, with services running to Ryde Esplanade, Ryde Pier Head, Sandown and Shanklin
Walking — the Esplanade offers an easy, scenic coastal walk from the hotel towards Appley, Puckpool and Seaview
Bike Hire — TAV Cycles on the High Street offers traditional and electric bikes, children's bikes and trailer bikes, with free helmet and lock hire included. For flexible, point-to-point journeys, Voi electric bikes and scooters are also available to hire via app from docking points around Ryde
